Bubble Pop

Aim, bounce off the walls and match three or more bubbles of a colour to pop them — knock out the bubbles holding the rest and watch them fall.

Runs in your browser Free · no sign-up

At a glance

  • Shoot a bubble into the cluster: when three or more of one colour touch, they pop. Bubbles left hanging from nothing fall for double points.
  • Bank shots off the side walls; a dotted aiming guide shows the path, bounce included, and where the bubble will stick.
  • Every few shots that pop nothing, a new row pushes down from the top. If the bubbles reach the dashed line, the game is over.
  • Clear the board for a 1,000-point bonus and the next level — with more rows, more colours and less time between new rows.
  • See the next bubble and swap it in when it suits you. You’re only dealt colours that are still on the board, so every board can be cleared.
  • Aim with the mouse, a finger or the arrow keys; turn on shapes for colour blindness. Your game and best score are saved — free, no sign-up.

Step by step

How to play Bubble Pop

  1. 1

    Aim

Move the mouse or drag your finger to aim the launcher. The dotted line shows where the bubble goes.

  2. 2

    Shoot

Click, let go of your finger, or press Space. Bounce shots off the walls to reach tricky spots.

  3. 3

    Make groups of three

A bubble that joins two or more of its colour pops the whole group.

  4. 4

    Drop the rest

Bubbles no longer attached to the top fall away for double points.

  5. 5

    Clear the board

Empty the board before the bubbles reach the dashed line to move up a level.

Tips

  • Aim for the bubbles holding others up. Dropping a big cluster scores far more than popping.
  • Use the walls. A bank shot reaches gaps you can’t hit straight on.
  • Plan with the next bubble and swap when the current one has nowhere good to go.
  • Keep the sides open so bank shots stay possible.
  • Watch the row counter — use your last shots before a new row to clear something.

About bubble-shooting games

The genre goes back to Taito’s arcade game Puzzle Bobble (known as Bust-a-Move in North America), released in 1994. Many browser and phone games have followed the same idea; Bubble Pop is our own free version.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do you play a bubble shooting game?

Aim the launcher and shoot bubbles into the cluster at the top. Three or more of the same colour together pop, and any bubbles left hanging fall. Clear the board before the bubbles reach the line at the bottom.

How do I bounce a shot?

Aim at a side wall — the bubble bounces off at the same angle. The aiming guide shows the bounce.

When does a new row appear?

After several shots in a row that don’t pop anything (the counter above the board shows how many are left). Popping a group resets it.

Can I change the bubble I’m shooting?

Yes — tap the small “next” bubble (or press X) to swap it with the one in the launcher.

Is it the same as Bubble Shooter or Puzzle Bobble?

It’s our own game in the same style as the bubble-shooting games made popular by Taito’s Puzzle Bobble (1994). JustTools isn’t connected with those games.

Is my game saved?

Yes — your game in progress, best score and highest level are saved in this browser.
