QR Code Generator
Make QR codes for websites, UPI payments, Wi-Fi passwords, WhatsApp chats and contact cards. Style them with your colours and logo, and download print-ready PNG or SVG — free, with no sign-up and no expiry.
At a glance
- Creates static QR codes: the content is stored in the code itself, so it never expires, needs no account and cannot be switched off.
- Nine types: link, text, UPI payment, Wi-Fi, WhatsApp, contact card (vCard), email, phone call and SMS.
- UPI codes use the standard
upi://payformat that Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM and every other UPI app can scan, with an optional fixed amount. - Custom colours, three dot styles, three corner styles and an optional centre logo.
- Downloads as PNG (512, 1024 or 2048 px) or scalable SVG for print, or copies the image to the clipboard.
- Supports all four error-correction levels (L 7%, M 15%, Q 25%, H 30%); adding a logo switches to H automatically.
- Generated in your browser — nothing you enter is sent anywhere, and scans are never tracked.
Step by step
How to create a QR code
- 1
Choose what the code opens
Pick Link, UPI payment, Wi-Fi, WhatsApp, Contact or another type.

- 4
Test and download
Scan the preview with your phone, then download PNG or SVG, or copy the image.
Features
Everything you need, nothing you don’t
Never expires
Many “free” QR sites create codes that redirect through their servers and stop working after a trial. These codes contain your content directly and work forever.
UPI payment QR
Enter a UPI ID, payee name and optional amount to get a code customers can pay with any UPI app — ideal for shops, stalls and invoices.
Wi-Fi in one scan
Guests point their camera at the code and join your network without typing the password. Works with modern iPhone and Android cameras.
Your brand, your colours
Pick dot and corner colours, choose square, rounded or dot styles, and put your logo in the middle. A contrast check warns you before a code becomes hard to scan.
Print-ready files
Download a sharp PNG up to 2048 px, or an SVG that stays crisp at any size — from business cards to banners.
Private by design
Codes are generated on your device. There is no redirect link, so nobody can see who scans your code or when.
Static vs dynamic QR codes
A static QR code — the kind this tool makes — stores your link or text directly in its pattern. It works forever, needs no account and does not depend on any company staying in business. The trade-off: to change the destination you print a new code.
A dynamic QR code stores a short redirect link owned by a QR service. You can change where it points and see scan statistics, but it usually needs a paid plan, and the code stops working if the subscription lapses or the service shuts down. For menus, packaging, business cards and payment codes, static is the safer choice.
How to make a UPI payment QR code
Choose UPI payment, enter the UPI ID (VPA) that should receive the money — for example yourshop@okhdfcbank — and the name customers should see. Add an amount for a fixed bill, or leave it empty so the payer types the amount. A note such as an order number appears in the payment description.
Before printing, scan the code with your own UPI app and check that the payee name is correct. Never share a code that pays into someone else’s account.
Tips for QR codes that always scan
- Keep contrast high: dark dots on a light background. Light-on-dark codes fail in some scanner apps.
- Keep the quiet zone: leave the white border around the code; scanners use it to find the edges.
- Print big enough: at least 2 × 2 cm (0.8 in). A good rule is one unit of code size for every ten units of scanning distance.
- Shorter content, simpler code: long text makes the pattern denser and harder to scan from a distance.
- Test before you print: scan with at least two different phones, including an older one.
- Use SVG for print: it scales to any size without blurring.
Error correction levels explained
Error correction lets a code still scan when part of it is dirty, damaged or covered by a logo. More correction means a denser pattern.
| Level | Can recover | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| L | about 7% | Screens and clean indoor use |
| M | about 15% | Most printed codes (default) |
| Q | about 25% | Packaging and outdoor signs |
| H | about 30% | Codes with a logo, or harsh conditions |
