Tips for printing and using OMR sheets

  • Print at 100% / Actual size, not “Fit to page”, so bubbles line up on every copy.
  • Use red drop-out ink if you will scan sheets with an OMR scanner that ignores red, or black for photocopying.
  • Ask students to use a black or blue ballpoint pen and to fill each circle completely — the instructions box shows how.
  • Keep the corner marks visible when photographing sheets for a mobile OMR checker app.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is the OMR sheet generator free?

Yes. Make, download and print as many sheets as you like, with no sign-up and no limit.

Can I make an OMR sheet for 200 questions?

Yes — up to 300. About 220 four-option questions fit on one A4 page with every field switched on, or 200 five-option questions if you turn off the instructions box. Longer sheets continue on a second page with a short header.

Can these sheets be checked by a scanner or app?

They follow the usual OMR layout with corner alignment marks, which many mobile OMR apps can read after you set up the template. Commercial OMR scanners need sheets printed to their own specifications, so test a few first.

How do I add an answer key?

Type the answers in the Answer key box — one letter per question (ABCDA…), or entries like “1-A, 2-C, 3-BD” for several correct options. A page with filled bubbles is added to the PDF.

Can I write the exam title in Hindi?

Not yet: the PDF uses the standard Helvetica font, which only covers Latin letters, so Hindi text is left out. Use English titles, or write the title by hand on the printed sheet.
