Runs in your browser Free · no sign-up

At a glance

  • Writes a leave application in the standard Indian letter format — “To, The Principal”, date, subject, salutation, body and sign-off — or as an email to your manager.
  • Works for school or college (written by the student or a parent) and for the office.
  • In English or Hindi (“सेवा में… सविनय निवेदन है कि…”), with Hindi wording that matches a boy or girl, son or daughter.
  • Nine reasons: sick leave, family function, wedding, urgent work, travel, doctor’s appointment, death in the family, festival or your own.
  • Counts the days and writes the dates for you; for leave already taken, the letter switches to the past tense and asks to approve it.
  • Download as PDF, Word (to edit) or an image for WhatsApp, or copy the text. Nothing is uploaded.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I write a leave application for school?

Address it to the principal or class teacher, write the date and a subject, say who you are (name, class, roll number), the dates and the reason, ask for leave politely and sign off “Yours obediently”. This tool does all of it from your details.

Can a parent write the application?

Yes — choose “Parent”. The letter says “my son / my daughter” and is signed by the parent, as schools usually want for younger children.

How do I ask for leave I have already taken?

Set the dates in the past. The letter switches to “I could not attend…” and asks to approve the leave for those days.

Should I send a letter or an email to my manager?

Most offices accept an email. Choose Office → Email to get a subject line and short email you can copy or open in your email app.

Can I edit the letter?

Yes — download it as a Word file and change anything, or copy the text into your own document.

Is my information saved?

Only in this browser, so you don’t have to type it again next time. Nothing is sent to us.
