Block Puzzle

Drag the blocks onto the grid, fill a row or column to clear it, and keep going as long as there’s room — a relaxing puzzle that’s hard to put down.

Runs in your browser Free · no sign-up

At a glance

  • Drag each block onto the grid; fill a whole row or column and it clears. Rows and columns clear together, so one block can clear several lines.
  • You get three blocks at a time and can place them in any order. Blocks can’t be rotated — plan where each shape fits.
  • Combos: clear lines on several moves in a row and every clear is multiplied — ×2, ×3 and more. Empty the whole board for +300.
  • More than 30 shapes: lines, squares, rectangles, small and large L shapes, T, S and Z pieces.
  • Play on the classic 8×8 board or a roomier 10×10. A hint finds a good spot, and a glowing preview shows which lines a block will clear.
  • Works with a mouse, a finger (the block floats above it so you can see) or the keyboard. Your game and best score are saved — free, no sign-up.

Step by step

How to play Block Puzzle

  1. 1

    Pick up a block

Drag one of the three blocks below the board — or tap it to select it.

  2. 2

    Place it

Drop it anywhere it fits on the grid, or tap the board where it should go. Blocks can’t be turned.

  3. 3

    Clear lines

Fill every square of a row or a column and it disappears, making room and scoring points.

  4. 4

    Build combos

Clear lines on consecutive moves to multiply your score; clear the whole board for a bonus.

  5. 5

    Keep space free

The game ends when none of your blocks fits anywhere. Leave room for the big pieces.

Tips for a higher score

  • Keep a 3×3 space open — the big square and large L blocks need it, and they end most games.
  • Work along the edges and corners first, so the middle stays flexible.
  • Look at all three blocks before placing one: the order matters, and one block can block the others.
  • Set up several lines at once. Clearing two or three lines together is worth far more than one at a time.
  • Don’t leave single holes that only a 1×1 block can fill.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do you play Block Puzzle?

Drag the blocks from the tray onto the grid. When a row or column is completely filled it clears. You get three blocks at a time; the game ends when none of them fits.

Can I rotate the blocks?

No — like classic block puzzles, the blocks keep their shape. Choose where each one fits best.

Is this the same as Block Blast or 1010!?

It’s our own free take on the same kind of block puzzle made popular by mobile games such as 1010! (by Gram Games) and Block Blast! (by Hungry Studio, launched in 2022). JustTools isn’t connected with either.

How do combos work?

Each move that clears at least one line adds to your combo; the line points are multiplied by it. A move that clears nothing resets the combo.

Does the game end?

Yes — when none of the three blocks you hold fits anywhere on the board. Then it’s about beating your best score.

Can I play on my phone?

Yes. Drag with your finger (the block floats just above it) or tap a block and then the board.
