Dinosaur Game

The endless desert run, on any device and without going offline: jump the cacti, duck under the pterosaurs, and see how far your dinosaur gets.

Runs in your browser Free · no sign-up

At a glance

  • Press Space, ↑ or tap to jump; hold it for a higher jump or tap for a short hop. ↓ ducks — or drops you faster in the air.
  • Cacti come in small and large groups; once you’re running fast, pterosaurs fly in at three heights: jump the low ones, duck the middle ones, run under the high ones.
  • The game speeds up the longer you last, and the desert turns to night every 700 points.
  • Your score counts the distance run; every 100 points the score flashes. Your high score and average are saved on this device.
  • Our own cartoon dinosaur and art, inspired by the Dinosaur Game that Google’s Chrome browser shows offline — made by the Chrome UX team in 2014, with about 270 million games a month by 2018.
  • Works with a keyboard, mouse or touch screen (with big Jump and Duck buttons), pauses itself when you switch tabs, and needs no download or sign-up.

Tips for a higher score

  • Jump late, not early — leaving the ground too soon lands you on the cactus.
  • Use short hops for single small cacti; save full jumps for wide groups.
  • Watch the height of pterosaurs: duck the middle ones, jump only the low ones.
  • Drop fast with ↓ after a jump to be ready for the next obstacle sooner.
  • Look ahead, not at the dinosaur — at high speed, reaction time is everything.
