Graphing Calculator
Type a function and see its graph at once — with roots, turning points, crossings and a table of values marked for you.
At a glance
- Plots up to 6 functions at once in clear, colour-blind-friendly colours, each labelled on the graph.
- Finds roots (where y = 0), maxima and minima, the y-intercept and the points where two graphs cross — and lists their coordinates.
- Understands everyday maths writing: 2x, x², 3(x + 1), |x|, √x, sin x, ln, log, π and e.
- Drag to move, scroll or pinch to zoom, and hover or tap to read the exact value of every curve at that x.
- Draws asymptotes correctly — 1/x and tan x break at the gap instead of joining across it.
- Switch trigonometry between radians and degrees, build a table of values, save the graph as a PNG or share it as a link.
Step by step
How to plot a graph
- 1
Type a function
Enter it after “y =”, for example x^2 - 4 or 2sin(x). The keypad helps with powers, roots and π.
- 2
Add more
Add up to six functions to compare them. Tap a colour dot to hide or show one.
- 3
Explore the graph
Drag to move, scroll or pinch to zoom, and hover or tap to read values.
- 4
Read the key points
Roots, maxima, minima and crossings are marked on the graph and listed underneath.
Features
Everything you need, nothing you don’t
Six functions
Compare graphs side by side, each in its own colour with a label on the curve.
Key points
Roots, turning points, the y-intercept and intersections, marked and listed.
Zoom and pan
Mouse wheel, pinch, buttons or arrow keys — the grid rescales to round numbers.
Read any value
A crosshair shows y for every curve at the x you point to.
Table of values
Pick a start and a step to tabulate any function.
Save and share
Download a PNG for homework or copy a link that opens the same graph.
What you can type
| Write | Means |
|---|---|
| x^2, x², x^(1/3) | Powers and roots |
| 2x, 3(x+1), (x+1)(x−1) | Multiplication without a sign |
| sqrt(x), √x, cbrt(x), |x|, abs(x) | Square root, cube root, absolute value |
| sin, cos, tan, sec, csc, cot, asin, acos, atan | Trigonometry (radians or degrees) |
| ln(x), log(x), log2(x), exp(x), e^x | Logarithms and exponentials |
| floor, ceil, round, sign, min, max, mod, x! | Rounding, comparisons and factorials |
| pi, π, e, tau | Constants |
How the key points are found
The calculator samples every curve across the visible window, looks for places where it changes sign (a root), turns round (a maximum or minimum) or meets another curve, and then narrows each one down to about 12 significant digits. Jumps such as the one in 1/x at x = 0 are recognised as asymptotes, not roots. Zoom in or move the graph to find points outside the current view.
Graphs every student meets
| Type | Try |
|---|---|
| Straight line | y = 2x + 1 |
| Quadratic (parabola) | y = x^2 − 4x + 3 |
| Cubic | y = x^3 − 3x |
| Reciprocal | y = 1/x |
| Exponential and logarithm | y = 2^x and y = ln(x) |
| Trigonometric | y = sin(x), y = cos(x), y = tan(x) |
| Modulus | y = |x − 2| |
